CARC 14
Date of birth follows the service
The date of birth on file is later than the date of service, which cannot be right.
Why you actually get this
- A transposed or mistyped date of birth.
- A newborn's record created with a placeholder date.
- The wrong patient record was selected.
How to check whether it’s correct
- 01Verify the date of birth against the record and the payer's file.
- 02For newborns, confirm the record is not carrying a placeholder.
